Stock imagery is about how you can see an image and using your imagination photography skill and art of seeing an image, bring together an image that will sell. Images can range and differ from landscape to simple detail images if the image is clear bright with no noise or blur (creative blur accepted) and can convey a message it will sell.

People images are the biggest seller in stock imaging people smiling, drinking, eating, at the office, gazing, and in situation sell well. Business images IE computers on a desk, handshakes, laptops, wires, books, charts, anything conveying business will do well in stock. Any image that looks like a postcard will sell, clear bright images will sell. Dark stormy atmospheric images will sell so long as they bag lots of impact.

Creating impact in your images is a must to create impact try different compositions get in close, go down low, or high. Use bold colours contrasting colours yellow and blue make great images.

Landscape images must be the hardest to take and require a lot of skill and Patience to achieve but foreground interest the right light and sharpness throughout the frame puts your image in good shape. Abstract images texture pattens macro and creative blurs can sell to just give them impact.

Stock imaging can be fun and hard work key-wording your images can get tedious but the rewards can be great when your efforts come to fruition.
Rule of thumb if you can't think of a good use for the image instantly then don't use it.
