3 Fun Ways to Save on Clothes |
|
Unless you want to get arrested for public nudity, buying clothes is a must for you and your family members. Looking great and feeling great doesn’t have to cost you a lot of money though. Learn three fun ways to save on your next clothing shopping spree. You shouldn’t have to give up a great look because it’s too much of an expense.
3 ways to save
* Always hit the clearance and sales racks and shelves first. Nobody says that you have to give up shopping at your favorites stores because you’re trying to save money or stick to your budget. Even the swankiest of stores have sales and clearances. So the next time you head out clothes shopping, before you hit the new arrivals racks and shelves, head to the area of the store where the sales and clearance racks and shelves stand. You may find a hidden gem and save up to 80% off of retail pricing in the process.
* Shop high-end second hand or consignment stores. This doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to become a thrift store shopper. There are higher-end consignment stores that are very particular about the items it’ll sell in its store. Typically, this means that you can find gently used designer items at greatly reduced pricing.Since items turnover in these stores on a regular basis, the key to getting a great deal is to visit the store often. You never know what designer find you might make and how much money you can save on it!
* Plan a clothing swap with friends. Have all your friends, co-workers and family members clean out their closets and have everybody bring their goods to a clothing swap. Separate the items by category–place all of the men’s shirts in one area, women’s skirts in another, etc. Then each of the attendees takes turns choosing an item that they want for their own. Keep going until there aren’t any items left that people want to take. Left over items can be donated to a local clothing drive, charity or thrift store. This is a fun way to get together with family and friends, get new clothes and not pay a dime for them. Remember, one person’s junk is another ones treasures!
Buying new clothes (or at least obtaining new clothes) can be fun and it doesn’t have to empty your wallet in the process. The next time you or someone in your family needs or wants a new piece of clothing, put these three fun ways to save on clothes in full gear. You’ll love it and your wallet will too. |
