Zager & Evans were a semi famous duo in the late sixties that have been known for having one of songs of the biggest one-hit wonder the era. The duo, from Nebraska, became known throughout the country for their big hit, In the Year 2525. Zager & Evans wrote the song in the midst of the "Make Love, Not War" phenomena, so it would make sense that their song would warn against the biggest war that humans face; themselves vs. technology.

Being the biggest one-hit wonder for this band, the song is still known throughout many music genres as a piece of history. The funny part about it is that it does not capture history. In fact, it is more of a fortune telling, trying to predict the future.
